Taking on an employee
often believed to be more difficult than it is. At a recent meeting with Kingston & Surbiton MP Ed Davey, Sue was pleased to learn that Ed is working to make employing much easier by bringing all the red tape in to one neat bow in one place. Moves are also being made to simplify employment laws and tribunal regulations with the “one-stop-employment-shop” also being able to give guidance and advice in words of one syllable – now that’s innovative from any politician! It was also interesting to find out that Ed Davy is responsible for regulating accounting procedures and the accounting profession, and he was interested to learn that there are some practises who just work to help the very small businesses – nice to be appreciated. Our other local MP, Chris Grayling of Epsom and Ewell, is responsible for the “off benefits and back to work” campaign and as part of that is launching “The Job Club – Pathway to Employment” at Nescot so Sue can report on that next month.
